Pamplemousses Botanical Garden


It is one of the largest botanical garden situated in the tranquil town of Pamplemousses in Mauritius. It is one of the most visited attractions that stretch for over 30 hectares, with exotic varieties of beautiful trees, shrubs, perennials and 85 different varieties of palm trees that brought from all over the world along with a large pond filled with giant water lilies. There are some animals present in the garden, including numerous birds, tortoises, deer, fish, turtles and bats.

Aventure du sucre

Adventure du Sucre situated in Pamplemousses which is an old estate that offers self-evident sense of the place, and the museum gives you a fabulous experience of different stages of sugar production, original machinery like pipes, vats, vessels including two locomotives and a large wooden barge which used for transportation of Sugar from Mauritius to Madagascar that are exhibited and explained by the Museum guide. It also gives you an opportunity to learn about the early cultivation of the canes and the role of slavery in growing, to the creation of the finished products and their eventual exportation to Western markets.

Cap Malheureux is a village located in the northern island of Mauritius. It is one of the most well-known photography spots in Mauritius: the little church with the red roof. It has a great playground for children, with rock pools and lots of things to discover, while adults sit in the shade and enjoy the views.
